Cox Marine Creations — Return & Refund Policy

At Cox Marine Creations, customer satisfaction, livestock health, and product quality are extremely important to us. Due to the nature of live coral and made-to-order aquarium products, please review all policies carefully before placing an order.


3D Printed Products – Return & Refund Policy

Due to the custom-made and made-to-order nature of our 3D printed reef products, all sales are considered final.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • buyer’s remorse

  • incorrect ordering

  • color preference

  • minor layer lines or cosmetic variations inherent to the 3D printing process

Custom-made, personalized, or modified items are non-returnable and non-refundable once production has started.

We do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item arrives:

  • damaged

  • defective

  • incorrect due to seller error

If your item arrives damaged or defective, you must contact us within 48 hours of confirmed delivery.

To submit a damage claim, please provide:

  • clear photos of the product

  • photos of the packaging

  • photos of the shipping label

Approved claims may qualify for:

  • replacement product

  • store credit

  • partial refund at seller discretion

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the issue was caused by verified seller error.


Live Coral — DOA Policy

⚠️ LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE (DOA POLICY)

We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee under the following STRICT conditions:

✔ Package must be received on the FIRST delivery attempt
✔ Coral must remain in the original, sealed bag
✔ Clear photo/video must be submitted within 1 hour of delivery


📸 REQUIRED FOR ALL DOA CLAIMS

To qualify, you MUST provide ALL of the following:

  • Clear photo of coral in unopened bag

  • Photo of the shipping label

  • Photo/video clearly showing the coral’s condition

  • Time-stamped proof of delivery (tracking screenshot is acceptable)


🧪 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

By purchasing, you confirm your system is stable and reef-ready.

If requested for claim review, you must provide recent test results (within 24 hours) for:

  • Salinity

  • Temperature

  • Alkalinity

  • Nitrate

  • Phosphate

Additional documentation may be required at seller discretion.


❗ IMPORTANT CLAIM RULES
  • Coral must NOT be removed from bag before claim is submitted

  • Coral added to tank = automatic void of DOA claim

  • All claims must be submitted within the 1-hour window


💳 CLAIM RESOLUTION

Approved DOA claims may qualify for:

  • replacement coral

  • store credit

  • refund excluding shipping costs

Claim resolutions are determined at the sole discretion of Cox Marine Creations.

Shipping costs are NON-REFUNDABLE under standard DOA claims.


❌ NOT COVERED

We do NOT cover:

  • carrier delays or shipping issues

  • missed or delayed delivery attempts

  • incorrect shipping addresses

  • coral removed from bag before claim

  • improper acclimation

  • tank instability or parameter issues

  • livestock aggression, pests, or equipment failure after delivery


Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled before shipment unless production has already started printing on custom or made-to-order items.

Custom orders and personalized products are non-refundable once production begins.
